{"id":1382,"date":"2011-03-13T08:53:06","date_gmt":"2011-03-13T13:53:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelifeliterary.com\/?p=1382"},"modified":"2011-03-13T08:53:06","modified_gmt":"2011-03-13T13:53:06","slug":"rondure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thelifeliterary.com\/?p=1382","title":{"rendered":"Rondure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I discovered this word last summer memorizing a poem (&#8220;Out of the Rolling Ocean the Crowd,&#8221; by Walt Whitman) for my middle son&#8217;s wedding.\u00a0 I fell in love with it at first sight.\u00a0 I still like speaking this silken word: Rondure.\u00a0 Rondure.\u00a0 Here it is in the poem:<\/p>\n<p><em>Behold the great rondure, the cohesion of all, how perfect. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Rondure means roundness, a gracefully rounded object, or as in the poem, the fullness or completeness of things.\u00a0 I just love the sound of it.\u00a0 I could speak it again and again.\u00a0 I wish I could find more ways to use it.<\/p>\n<p>Observe the tomato&#8217;s rondure: utter perfection.<\/p>\n<p>The rondure of the table will give us all a place to sit. (nah!)<\/p>\n<p>Honey, I love your shimmering rondure.
