{"id":411,"date":"2011-01-27T19:28:20","date_gmt":"2011-01-28T00:28:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelifeliterary.com\/?p=411"},"modified":"2011-02-07T13:12:37","modified_gmt":"2011-02-07T18:12:37","slug":"how-to-use-the-life-literary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thelifeliterary.com\/?p=411","title":{"rendered":"How to Use The Life Literary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this blog I discuss and model ways to\u00a0shake a dash\u00a0of literary\u00a0on your\u00a0life.\u00a0 (Or serve yourself a thick slab, if you&#8217;d like).\u00a0 I call it living literarily.\u00a0 There are\u00a0a couple of\u00a0ways to use and enjoy The Life Literary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0 You can\u00a0simply read things for the fun of reading.<\/strong> I&#8217;ll\u00a0try to keep\u00a0my pantry stocked with a good supply of\u00a0well-written, interesting essays,\u00a0stories,\u00a0poems, book reviews, letters (from abroad and from home), narratives (of events), and journals (dated entries that follow the progress of something, like a garden or a grandchild&#8217;s birth and growth).\u00a0 I&#8217;ll put everything I write in a category (see the list of categories on the right-hand side of the page).\u00a0 Hover the cursor over the category for a description of what&#8217;s there.\u00a0\u00a0Click the category to see everything in\u00a0a particular\u00a0group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0 You can get ideas and practical suggestions for ways to live literarily.<\/strong> The tabs just under the picture across the top are\u00a0like chapter\u00a0titles for a book that might be called\u00a0Ways to Live Literarily.\u00a0 Click a tab, reveal the introduction to the particular subject.\u00a0 Each chapter has its corresponding category on the right-hand side of the page.\u00a0 You want information about conducting a Literary Event, memorizing poetry, or ways to include writing in your life?\u00a0\u00a0Click on the category that interests you and start gathering ideas.\u00a0 Or search for a specific thing using the Search field at the bottom of the right-hand column.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Here&#8217;s a tip<\/span>.\u00a0 Each tab across the top is like the chapter of a book.\u00a0 All posts should fit into one chapter or another, either as an example of what the chapter is talking about or else a discussion of the chapter&#8217;s topic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My<\/strong> <strong>quirks (thrown in free of charge):<\/strong><!--more--><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>A<\/strong>.
