Part 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Listen up!\u00a0 This idea is a winner, a very doable and fun way to add a few thoughtful words to your life.\u00a0 It&#8217;s easy.\u00a0 I&#8217;m adding this\u00a0to <a title=\"Words For The Fun Of It in 2012\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thelifeliterary.com\/?p=6073\" target=\"_blank\">all the other word things<\/a> I am already doing in 2012.\u00a0 You could try this yourself.\u00a0 Really!\u00a0 Here&#8217;s how.<\/p>\n<p>First, go buy a 2012 wall calendar if you don&#8217;t already have one.\u00a0 They usually go on sale early in January.\u00a0 Find one with pictures you like, anything that will brighten your day.\u00a0 Maybe your doctor or dentist is giving them out for free.\u00a0 Even better.\u00a0 If you would rather use a cyber calendar, open a new one in Google, Outlook, or whatever program you use.<\/p>\n<p>Now, set your goal.\u00a0 How many days out of a week could you write one sentence?\u00a0 I mean just one simple sentence.\u00a0 One day?\u00a0 Three?\u00a0 All seven?\u00a0 I set four days as my goal.<\/p>\n<p>O.K. so far?\u00a0 Now write one sentence describing something you did today.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry about\u00a0 being fancy or brilliant.\u00a0 Just write a sentence, possibly in a notebook or journal.\u00a0 (<em>Inside joke for Braveheart fans: You don&#8217;t keep a journal, do you?\u00a0 We&#8217;ll have to remedy that.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The next step: Read the sentence you just wrote.\u00a0 For example,\u00a0let&#8217;s say\u00a0you wrote: <em>Bought a calendar<\/em>.\u00a0 Maybe you should add a specific subject: <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I<\/span> bought a calendar<\/em>.\u00a0 Try adding a little at the end: <em>I bought a calendar <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">at the stationery store<\/span><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, after you are happy with the sentence, write it on the square with today&#8217;s date.\u00a0 Or, if you are using a cyber calendar, type the sentence in the cell for today&#8217;s date.\u00a0 On Google calendar, I am filling in the space allotted for 9 am (I&#8217;m doing this calendar thing with a paper and an online calendar).\u00a0 I&#8217;m also tweeting my sentences.\u00a0 Follow them on <a title=\"The Life Literary on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/LifeLiterary\" target=\"_blank\">The Life Literary on Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And you&#8217;re done!\u00a0 If you set a goal of one sentence per week, at the end of the year you will have a 52 sentence account of your year.\u00a0 If you intend to write three per week, then next New Year&#8217;s Eve you&#8217;ll be able to reminisce about 165 things you did over the year.\u00a0 Also, you will have added some deliberate, thoughtful writing to your life, just a tad, true, but enough.\u00a0 Give it a try and let me know how it goes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Listen up!\u00a0 This idea is a winner, a very doable and fun way to add a few thoughtful words to your life.\u00a0 It&#8217;s easy.\u00a0 I&#8217;m adding this\u00a0to all the other word things I am already doing in 2012.\u00a0 You could &hellip;
